Who is Cristobal J. Licea?​

 

A self taught artist on a journey of self discovery via multiple facets of artistic expression.  The creative process has served as a means therapy, enjoyment and a voice.

Acrylic painting on canvas is the current body of Cristobal's work however he has worked in oils, digital, airbrush, body painting, murals and illustration.  Each medium has served to expand his creative versatility and challenge new growth.  Cristobals' work can easily be characterized by the bright colors and bold lines.

With many influences and mentors that have helped form the art of Cristobal J. Licea, there is one that has been the most crucial, God.  Cris attributes the source of his ability to his Creator and can often be seen reflected in his art. 

 

-1 Peter 4:10 - "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." 

 

Art being one of those "manifold grace", is a means to entertain, instruct, comfort, minister, heal, and ultimately give glory to God.
